1. From soup to nuts

From soup to nuts字面意思是”从汤到坚果”，是指很早以前人们吃饭的时候，第一道菜是汤，最后一道吃点带坚果的甜点,也就是从第一道菜吃到最后一道菜为止。因此，from soup to nuts是指从头到尾，完完全全地。

• 类似的词组也可以说from A to Z（依据字母表顺序）或者from start to finish（依据赛车起点和终点）。
